La Berna incepe concursul! In conditiile necalificarii echipei de senioare la Jocurile Olimpice, Campionatul European de la Berna a crescut ca importanta in calendarul competitional, eventualele medalii europene cantarind acum mai mult pentru orgoliul ranit al gimnasticii romanesti.
Echipa de senioare care va incerca sa califice Romania in finala europeana este o formatie noua, neexperimentata. Problemele de sanatate ale unor gimnaste cheie precum Larisa Iordache, Diana Bulimar sau Laura Jurca au adus in prim plan o garnitura neasteptata cu patru gimnaste de valoare individuala neconfirmata (Anamaria Ocolisan, Maria Holbura, Anda Butuc, Silvia Zarzu) si o singura certitudine, campioana olimpica Catalina Ponor. Este previzibila, in aceste conditii o prestatie in afara medaliilor pentru echipa de senioare. Cu toate acestea speram intr-o prezentare cat mai buna, fara greseli majore iar in ceea ce priveste sansele la medalii individuale toata increderea este investita in Catalina Ponor. Mult succes tuturor!
In concursul junioarelor situatia este diferita, Romania reusind sa adune in formatia reprezentativa cele mai valoroase junioare ale momentului. Ele sunt reprezentantele unei generatii de exceptie dar nu au reusit inca sa isi confirme cu adevarat potentialul in intrecerile internationale. Romania a testat in vederea acestui campionat doua garnituri de junioare. Comportarile au fost promitatoare; echipa mai putin experimentata a reusit sa se impuna in meciul cu Spania iar echipa titulara pentru Berna, formata din Ioana Crisan, Carmen Ghiciuc, Olivia Cimpian, Alisia Botnaru si Denisa Golgota, a castigat in fata Frantei. Faptul ca raman acasa gimnaste de talia Laurei Iacob sau Alexandrei Mihai (amintind doar cateva nume) spune multe despre potentialul acestei generatii. Ceea ce speram sa demonstreze tinerele noastre talente la acest concurs este stapanire de sine, acuratete si siguranta. Au aratat in repetate randuri ca stapanesc un nivel tehnic suficient, au nevoie sa se afirme acum si ca bune competitoare. Experienta de anul trecut de la Festivalul Olimpic al Tineretului European precum si scorul strans din meciul cu Franta ne indica o evolutie spectaculoasa a gimnasticii europene care schimba putin reperele succesului – dificultatea ridicata nu mai garanteaza medalii, ea trebuie insotita de acuratete si constanta. Fetele noastre trebuie sa dovedeasca autocontrol si stabilitate si rezultatele vor veni. Sansele la medalii individuale se impart intre toate componentele echipei.
