It was again someone called Andreea who won the laurels for team Romania at the first edition of the European Games.
In the absence of well-known champions Iordache, Bulimar, Munteanu and after a disappointing team ranking, Romania had only faint hopes for individual medals.
But in the old Romanian tradition someone stepped up and made the difference. It was little Andreea Iridon who brought home two Eur-Olympic medals: bronze on bars and silver on beam.
Here is hoping that Andreea’s medals will boost everyone’s confidence and will.
